PUT it IN MY POCKET
My brother down in San Antonio was doing some computer networking for a doctor and called me Saturday morning. He called because the doctor was giving him some pieces of audio gear. This is what he got so far -

* McIntosh MR75 tuner
* McIntosh C-29 Pre-amp
* McIntosh 2205 amp
* Tandenberg Reel to reel

He is going back for a unknown turntable and some Avid speakers. All the units have walnut cases.

Best part of all, it was FREE!

Does anybody know anything about Avid speakers?

He is sending me pics later.

He just called me back the R2R is a TD-20A.

He also got a BPC Sony receiver, a Audio Pulse Model 2, Blakberry, bluetooth and $700 for his work.

All bought at Bjorns in SA.

I figured that the Tandberg was a TD-20. Super nice deck. He is gonna love it.

This is the same doctor who gave him a old RCA console TV and a mounted sailfish when he replaced the TV with a 50" plasma.

I read the OP's opening lines and definitely agree with Mr. Bolly's statement. No, let me say it another way, on second thought I'll just agree w/Mr. Bolly's statement and not embellish. :smoke:
 
Avids are very nice, very nice indeed. So he's going to give all this to you because you are the audio guy, right, uh huh, sure?
 
If it wasn't for him seeing my McIntosh stuff, he would have never known. When he comes this summer, he said he'd load up the van and bring it to me. He may also flip it on CL, its his decision.

He told my brother he has used it about 10 times since buying it new. Must like his HT better.

Money must not be an object to him because he keeps calling my brother to do his networking at his home and clinic.
