A rather shifty character, but he saw something in the Pistols and brought them to us.

RIP

Shifty-sounding, that is for sure! I love to hear/read Johnny Lydon's caustic remarks on Malcom. Still, he was in there and spotting talent (don't forget that he also managed The New York Dolls). And some of his "solo" recordings are pretty cool.

and released at least 2 albums of his own, 'Duck Rock' and 'Fans'.

Interesting character.

He was surprised Sex Pistols amounted to anything; he was just trying to drum up business for his clothing store 'Sex'

I liked the vinyl remixes of Revenge of The Flowers and The Largest Movie House in Paris.

Very interesting beats. RIP Malcolm

The Shop was named Sex and he sold a lot of leather S/M gear which appealed to punk rockers at the time. He was quite a character. May he R.I.P.

They were the designs of Vivienne Westwood, who worked there also and who had a big influence on the look that punk took on. Her and Malcolm were a couple at the time. She's still a fashion designer... I tried on one of her jackets last year but it was out of my price range.

Like others have said I was a clothes shop called sex, and one could argue that he "mismanaged" the 'Dolls and presided over their decline

I'm not a fan of Mr McLaren
