Man smashes own stereo, gets tasered.

If you knew anything about New Zealand geography and the demographic of the area this happened, then you would know that this sort of alcohol fueled neanderthal type behaviour is fairly common.....

If you ever saw the American TV show 'Cops', you'd know we have our share of booger-eatin' morons here as well. For some reason, none of them seem to like to wear shirts. Which helps with identification.

He said later that that's the best his speakers ever sounded with all that extra current running through them.

"Cops came to assist Noise Control in seizing his stereo for playing it too loud."

Glad I don't live in New Zealand. (particularly because I don't have a brazier to protect my stereo with)

Yeah, we get Cops here, and yeah, you are so right, they do always seem to have no shirts on!! Hilarious.....but sad at the same time....
I would say alcohol/meth would be the fuel here.....

Yes we have "noise control", how it works is you get a noise abatement notice first which is served by a security company, you usually have to turn the noise down for a period of 12 to 24hrs.....
If you continue to disregard the notice, the Police can seize your sound making equipment.
Generally you get two warnings, and even then you can negotiate with the Police, its not common for people to have their gear confiscated.
However, when there is drugs and alcohol involved, then yeah, the gear gets taken away.....
So unless you are an out of control drunk/drugged moron, you'll never get your stereo confiscated as long as you are a person of reason....

I had noise control called on me twice when I first moved in to my current house, but I have now found the medium and times at which I can crank it up if I want to, and I have not seen Noise control for about three years now...

New Zealand is an awesome place to live, but we pay WAY too much tax and living is too expensive.....

I'm glad you told us that, Kev, because I've often thought I'd like to move there if I could get a job at Perreaux. Why are your taxes so high? You still have no standing army, right?

:lmao: Washington state doesn't have a standing army either and our taxes are too high too.

I doubt we can get very far on this..its gonna go political.

Yeah, its likely to get political, so in order to keep the thread open we should stick to the shirtless drunken moron smashing up his stereo......:thmbsp:

He got to strike three, and couldn't rationalize the situation and negotiate in a reasonable manner with the Police, and look what happened as a result....

I actually find it very amusing!!

"Cops" is fairly tame.. If you REALLY wanna see Boobus Americanus in action, watch a few "Jerry Springers"...You get to see the Extra-Chromosone Crowd in all their Neanderthalic glory.. Or "Honey Boo-Boo"...Pretty much the same thing. Or come to ANY Wal-Mart in the South, ESPECIALLY on the Friday/Saturday after the first or the 15th of the month, (Otherwise known as "Payday 'n' P*ssy" Nights) where Billy Joe Tom Bob & Poovie Mae are Struttin' their Stuff..

" police were called to assist noise control in seizing a stereo from the address."

If the boys come to my house to seize my stereo I'll fawken go primative!

"Sir, we are here to seize your stereo" Would be the last words

Just kidding... Sorta

I actually know both Murray and Adam from Ecofan sound in NZ. I own one of the Ecofan BOOST-IT and love it.

If they came to Murrays place he'd give those NZ cops a little something and beat em all down wearing his dress and all. The NZ cops would be feeling the shame of a man in dress beat down.

"His lawyer, Phil Jensen, said his client had been severely punished at home and was ashamed of his actions."

I must be missing something here . . .? The guy's 32 and he's been severely punished at home? His parents, significant other, I don't get it . . . what am I missing? :scratch2:
