Manually dialing in cd compensation on a GEQ

I need to know the proper region of bandwidth and numerical values in db I should attenuate those points across that region on my 31-band dbx GEQ to create the proper CD compensation response for my 511 horn.

I do have a response graph for the 511...can I just look at the curve and make my adjustments according to that....say, if the graph is showing a 3 db peak at 3K then I attenuate 3 db on the EQ and do that with all points above flat on the response curve?

I am under the impression that the Altec 511 is not a constant directivity horn. Do you have a reference to it being a CD horn? Don Keele invented the CD horn while at EV then later designed the Altec CD horns and contracted EV to build them for Altec then Don went to JBL and designed all their CD horns for which he is probably best known for since he won an Academy Award. The Lansing Heritage site would be your best place for info on all things Altec and JBL. please post any reference links if you have any. Thanks and best regards Moray James.
 
No, I don't have any information to support it being a CD horn....only that several who are much more knowledgeable than myself wrt these matters suggested I use cd compensation on my Ashly active xover with my DIY's and the Ashly doesn't have that feature.
