Maranta 2015 Voltage Switch

Hello from Australia.
I have recently purchased a European 2015 receiver with the switchable voltage.

I have searched both AK and the web without any joy, so I’m appealing to you experts for help.

Where/how is the voltage changed on these units? I know the bigger 22 series units have the switch on the rear but I haven’t seen anything on the 2015 like this. Is it something internal on these models?

It's done internally, ie,


Download the service manual from hifiengine, need to register, it's safe, no spam, widely used. SM shows how wires/jumpers should be connected.

I have downloaded the manual on hifiengine but it doesn’t have the diagram as posted. Have I got the correct one?

My mistake, typo, I was looking at the 2215 sm. The 2015 service manual does not show a multi voltage unit however they are
often superceeded. On the rear of the unit I would expect a range of voltages specified, eg, 100/120/220/230/240V should be
printed somewhere. Regardless, suggest open up the unit and take a hi-res pic of the transformer showing the wires. Also
look for a connection block like that shown in post #2, another pic.

That’s okay. It has the multivoltage plate and is a Euro 5 button model. It’s currently awaiting processing through customs so I’ll post some pics when it arrives. The diagrams all seem to show 240V bridge the white and red, just a different fuse amperage.

I found this pretty interesting. I’ve never seen a Marantz with a detachable power cord (on any of the 20XX/22. And never a 2015 model with the voltage dial. Anyone else seen this on the baby Marantz’s and if so what years roughly?

Yes, it is a euro model. I got it out of Germany but I have never seen the detachable plug or the voltage dial. I have another coming out of The Netherlands and it has the hard wired power cord and the internal bridges style voltage change. I’ll give this some power today and see how it goes. The photos on the auction site listing showed it working well.

Voltage selector is shown in top right corner of pixs in post #7. Think there is a screw in the middle that you undo then
pull out the plug and rotate to the wanted voltage then re-install. However pic suggests it's already set to 240Vac.

EDIT: If your unit does not have the dial then need to open it up and check if jumpers can be
rearranged...

Thanks I have tried it and works great. Faceplate was a bit grubby and it came up really well soaking in dishwashing liquid.
Never seen one like this with the plug and switch for a 2015. Have a conventional one also on its way from NL. I’d not had photos of the back until it arrived in the post

I have the same problem. I brought a 2015 from Europe to Canada and can't set to 120. Can you help?
