Marantz 1060 DIN connection

I have a Teac reel to reel deck that I want to connect to my 1060. I did have my Technics cassette deck connected to the tape in/out on the 1060.Right now I have the Teac deck connected to the tape in/out on the 1060 and it works great but I had to disconnect the cassette deck to accomplish this.
The 1060 and the Teac have DIN connection.
My question is if I use the DIN connection to connect the Teac to the 1060, could I also connect the cassette deck to the tape in/out jacks on the 1060 and have both decks able to function or does something in one override the other.

As far as getting a signal from the amp for recording, that would work, but for playback the devices would very likely interfere with each others operation, as they would both be connected to the same point.

As far as playback, I wouldn’t play them both at the same time. Just wanted to be able to play both units without switching wires in the back of the 1060 as it is a bit inconvenient.
If I’m able to play one unit at a time that would be great.
In a perfect world I would be able to tape from the cassette deck onto the reel to reel. If not then I can always connect the cassette deck to the tape jack on the 1060.

I believe that tying two outputs to the same point will not work. The output impedance of the decks is rather low, so one deck will be substantially loading the output of the other if the outputs are tied together.
 
Have similar issue on my shop 4415. Two decks. A Nakromichi cassette deck and a Tascam CDR. Being old, I dug out a Radio Shack tape monitor switch box. Problem solved. Going to get a Blue Tooth adaptor and use on the remaining input!

As stated, it's either/or between DIN & RCA jacks. Only benefit of DIN is single cord opposed to 4 separate with RCA's. As stereo-head G.I.'s back in late 70's, we almost never used DIN cables due to excessive hum pickup which was objectionable at the volume levels we operated. Think barracks stereo wars. Good old days!:rolleyes::rockon:
