Hi!

Maybe a newbie question, but I have never used this function before.

If i connect my ipod to the mic/aux 2 input, let's say the 'R'-jack input, and I depress the MONO IN 'R' pushswitch, according to the manual I should hear sound from both right and left channel speakers.

My question is if this will be stereo or mono?

You can test it and find out, right? Put on a song that has distinct differences between the left and right channels and play with the balance knob.

To answer your question and example specifically, it will be mono.

Go to Radio Shack and buy a 1/8 cable to L/R RCA and plug it in and listen in stereo.:music:

You'll also need a pair of 1/4" plug to RCA jack adapters, since the inputs are 1/4" jacks. You might be able to find a single cable with the appropriate connectors at a place like Guitar Center. Need to find the same for mine.

If you plug something into one channel it does not matter how many channels you have playing it will be in mono. So the input into the R even in the MONO IN, you will get sound from both but it will be mono.

Here is a link to a pic of what you need.

Nope, inputs aren't RCA... That's a partial solution, but will still need RCA to 1/4" adapters.

Here's the ideal adapter cable. Just need to find a local source for it.

ok, I have a set of them also for running an ipod into my mixer for the PA. If you are not using Aux 1 on the back, I would suggest using the Aux 1 and 1/8 mini to RCA's, it is a better set up.
