Marantz 1060? Thoughts? $100 asking

1060 was a nice solid unit, 30 wpc. Looks clean and $100 is reasonable given the Marantz craze these days.

I had a 1060 briefly and it was a very nice sounding unit. The preamp section in particular is really sweet.
Just keep in mind that it's getting on in years and will likely need some servicing (unless he's already recapped it). The power switches on these are apparently famous for failing, too. Mine did, and I ended up selling it for parts cause I just never got around to fixing it. The switches can be had on ebay so that's not a huge deal.
For $100, I'd do it. I miss mine.

I have been looking at them for 3 months or so and they seem to be in the 200.00 to 300.00 range , Ones that are restored and recapped go for 325.00 to 399.00 then there is shipping . so for 100.00 that seems like a fair deal

I would buy it if I am looking for a marantz amp! 100 is pretty good price compared with the ebay going prices
