Marantz 1060

I am looking at a friend's Marantz 1060 in hopes of an easy answer for a dead left channel. I pulled the covers and looked at all the boards with no obvious component failures. I hooked up a set of speakers and a CD player and the left channel is definitely gone. I swapped the inputs but the left still remained dead. No left channel through headphones either. I am sure he is gonna ask me what the value of the receiver is as it sits. Can anyone take an educated guess as to the core value of a Marantz 1060 project? If it helps, it doesn't appear that any of the factory capacitors have been replaced. Thank you!

I would say $200 for a local sale, and a bit more on eBay. IF, it's in very nice condition.

Real wood case? Add $50 -$100.

I think local value would be quite a bit less here in middle America...probably more like $125 or so. Prices vary quite a bit based on geography.

But ebay shows "parts" units selling for >$200, as Robisme said. Of course, fees will eat up close to 15% of that.

Good luck with it. Sounds to me like you have a blown output.

Not to be smug, but if you are going to list the unit for sale, be sure to call it an integrated amplifier. The Marantz 1060 is not a receiver.

I had a 1030 that I picked up with a very low output channel. Turned out to be a leg of a cap had corroded to nothing.
