The 10B is one of the handful of best-ever consumer tuners ever designed and built.

The $35 Marantz 2020 tuner in the other link is also a perfectly OK tuner. Relative to the OP's comment, it has no watts :-) It is a tuner, not a receiver and thus offers only line-level outputs.

I hate to sound like an ass, but a bit of quick research would have answered your question before you started insulting the seller. His price may be a bit high, but recent eBay sales range from $2,300-$3,200.

Otoh here is a nice deal but I can't find out how many watts it is. I assume is 20 WPC?

Not really. One is a TOTL, "one of the best ever" tube tuners. The other is a typical consumer-grade solid-state piece.
 
The 2020 was BOTL ca. 1978; sorry for the poor quality scan :-P

35 smackers is on the high side of about right, I'd opine. The "Marantz" name and cosmetics make it worth a few bucks more than other Japanese massmarket gear of the same timeframe.

Doh! I missed that. I know better was thinking receiver for some reason.

I didn't insult the seller (yes he may very well be smoking a fine cigar) and maybe I should have researched it before posting here (I would imagine if everyone researched it beforehand there would be less posts here) but anyhow I didn't don't get undies in a wad jeez!

I did however post this in the appropriate forum because I was curious to the REAL value as this Dollars & Sence is exactly what its for.

that may be very well be as far as threads in dollars and sense go but if you googled marantz 10b you would of found out quickly what they sell for.on the other hand some gear is rare so you might not find out anything through google etc.. and thats why we have this forum.:yes:

your remark "whats he been smoking certainly does'nt refer to a fine cigar:no: but he might be if he has a 10b .

as a after thought can you tell me what a pr of gerge gott g50d mono block tube amps are worth ?
