Does anyone know a Stereo Shop or expert anywhere in Connecticut that can valuate a Marantz receiver Model 1180DC. Late 1970s?

Has been sitting at Mother-in-Laws for 20 years.

Has a Model 104 Tuner as well.

The only eBay listing is crazy ($1600???)

Are there any stereo shops left!?!?!

Eric.

That is a decent 90 watt per channel unit and with the Marantz name should be worth some coin. Other brands are in the 300-600 range. The tuner is a bottom of the line unit though, worth something to someone that has to have a Marantz tuner, especially if all the lights work.

Get the amp serviced and enjoy it as it is a decent Chuck of gear. There are Akers that can check it out for you or rebuild it, but that gets spendy and makes the unit worth a bit more.

Completed bay sales shows an 1180 and 2100 tuner (only a fair tuner, under 150 in performance) sold for 761.
