Greetings, I just acquired a Marantz 1530 receiver. It works and sounds great but I've noticed that a significant amount of sound comes from the speakers even when the balance is all the way in the other direction. So for example balance all the way to the right, though diminished, plenty of sound is still coming through the left speaker. Exact same for the opposite direction.
It happens in mono or stereo. Headphones and speakers. All functions (phono aux tuner etc). And both speaker systems. After doing some trial and error I figured out that when the Loudness button is disengaged, the problem vanishes. Loudness button on, problem is there. I de-ox'ed all the switches with extra emphasis on Loudness but still not change. Ideas?
