Folks, relatively new to this site and very appreciative of the great info you all share. I have someone who is selling a Marantz 19 amplifier and has been totally restored. I am not familiar with Marantz vintage gear. He is asking $750. What are your opinions on this type of amplifier. Thanx.

well bertram31, the 19 commands big dollars on ebay, usually $500+... cosmetics and who performed the work would be the deciding factor... alot of coin though!

Bolly, what about the quality of the 19. Any particular issues with that unit. I have not been able to acquire much info using this website or googling Marantz 19. Alot of info on the web about the 16. It is a local purchase so it would save me alot of money on shipping. Any additional info you can pass is appreciated. thanx......

Thanx guys, great links. Well, at only 50 wpc, I guess I will pass on this. I am hooked on my KR9600 and can't imagine going with anything less. Appreciate your quick info on this. Thanx......

The 19 is highly sought after by Marantz collectors, and thus commands serious coin. In the grand scheme of things, it's a very nice receiver with an exceptional tuner. Beyond that, I'd leave it to the collectors.

The Model twenty I have has worked flawlessly for 40 years and has never been serviced... hope I didnt jinx myself.
