Marantz 20B de-emphasis

Hi

I would like to change the US de-emphasis (75 µs) of my Marantz 20B tuner to the European (50 µs). I could not find any hint in a service manual or elsewhere how to do this.

Could somebody give me a practical hint or is aware of a solution?

The instructions to change the deemphasis from 75µS to 50 µS are actually given in the 20B service manual: just look at note (2) on the MPX Matrix schematic diagram who says:

... To change to 50 µS (European) change R615 and R616 to 5.3K or parallel existing 11.3K +/- 1% resistors with 1 each 10K +/- 1% resistor...

A very simple mod and no (re)alignment is needed after the conversion.
