Haven't seen many of these around here.

Is the scope tube display phosphor actually blue or does it have a blue gel in front of it?

Are a 4400(Hitachi 50TB31) and a 2110/2130 tube interchangeable?

Is there a big performance difference between the 2110 and 2130?

Thanks!

As far as I know, 2500, 2600 and 2110/2130 all use a blue phosphor CRT. I have installed a green phosphor CRT in a 2500 and no amount of blue gel will turn the green to blue.
From what I have been told, 50TB31 is blue, 50TB1 is green. 2BP1 substitute CRTs are also green.
The 2130 looks better on paper and I think it has selectable IF bandwidth while the 2110 does not.

I have a 2110 open on my bench at the moment, and it has a wimpy tuning cap compared to the 2130 - only three FM gangs to the 2130's five. I'd say that would equate to a noticeable performance difference.

Please search the tuner forum. I believe the moderator Dr. Audio among others can comment from experience on 2110 vs. 2130 performance.
