Marantz 2215b changed fuse wont power on

OK. So I was given a marantz 2215b
Was told all I need to do is change the power fuse at the back. So I went and got a 2amp 250v fuse from this awesome guy at the electronic repair shop. Changed it and no lights no power. I would like suggestions in where to go next.I am not a bigineer . put it has been about 16 years since I've fixed anything. Is this worth fixing ?
Oh I'm in Canada so I'm thinking it's a North American model thanx in advance

It's definitely worth fixing. It's a very nice receiver. Next suspect would be the power switch. They are prone to go bad. First, plug something into the unswtched power outlet on the back of the receiver and see if it gets power. It probably will. There is no switched outlet on this model, so If you know how to safely test a 120V AC switch with a multimeter, that would be the next place to look.

Seems like a logical suggestion. I assume you are getting no AC because

Best to confirm you are getting no AC. This can be done with your multimeter by measuring AC voltage between any of the transformer secondary windings eg,
- the 2 orange wires J801,2
- or the 2 yellow wires J803,5
- or the 2 green wires J806,7
 
If the switch is bad, it's best to replace it. Depending on the mounting hole spacing, there are a few switches that work for Marantz receivers. I would start by PMing AK member dgwojo and see if he still sells switches. He will probably know the one to use. Switches are also available on the auction site. Here is an old thread with discussion of replacing Marantz power switches.
