Marantz 2220B with 4 ohm speakers

Hi,
I have Boston acoustics Subsat 6 speakers with subwoofer. Each piece is 8 ohms. But as the subwoofer isn't powered, I've connected each section of sub woofer directly it to each speaker. I think that makes the total
4 ohms. The Marantz 2220B is rated for 8 ohm speakers. Is there any potential damage if I use it with 4 ohms?
