Marantz 2225 light problem

Hi, I'm new here. Just bought a Marantz 2225 and the light on the left meter was burnt. All the other lights lit up beautifully. The gentleman that sold the receiver to me said that it was easy to replace, but he did not have time to do it so he gave the the little bulb. I went on YouTube, followed the instructions and replaced the bulb. When I plugged it in and powered it on, none of the lights came on. What may have occurred? Thanks. Amalio

Did you accidentally install a fuse instead of the proper festoon style lamp that looks like a fuse but is actually an incandescent light bulb?

I don't think so. The guy gave the bulb and said it was easy to change. When I took the other one out, it looked the same. Why would all the lights go off, even the stereo light does not light any more.

you may have caused a short and blew fuse 802 . check the fuse first and if blown check for shorts .

I'd read what is printed on the end caps just to be sure it's an 8 V lamp.

thanks to everyone, you were right it was a fuse I had inserted and the 802 blew, so I went to my local electronics store and got another and a few bulbs. The receiver looks awesome! Thanks again!
