Marantz 2230 FM signal meter not working

Hello,

I am here with a superb 2230 and would like to make the FM signal meter working.
The tuner is ok and decoding FM and stereo nicely.

So my question is the following from where this FM signal for the meter is coming?
Is it from P200 PCB if so from which part component or elsewhere?
What is the routing of this signal?

The 2230 is my favorite receiver.
If the meter is only dead in FM: The FM signal strength is detected by samples in the P200 IF and then supplied to J208. From there is goes to J554, amplified by H553, level controlled by R561 and sent out J557.
Then it goes to S001-2F(selector switch) and out to the meter when the selector is set to FM.
I'd look for broken wires first.

Hi Tom,

I'm new to AK, but not new to vintage audio. I've been dabbling for a few years now and have owned many Marantz, Pioneer, Realistic, Zenith, Rotel and other vintage receivers. My experience is about moderate. I have a Marantz 2238b receiver that I picked up, blew out a load of dust, cleaned and lubed the pots, set the idle current and voltage per the SM, added LED's. It looks really nice. ONE PROBLEM that is driving me nuts. The signal meter will not work in FM. It works in AM just fine. The tuning meter works just fine and I tweaked the lower coil, L202 (I can't recall the number) to center the tuning meter....no issue there. I've cleaned the selector switch 4 times, and rotated it 100 times, and still the signal meter does not work in FM. I checked voltages at J430 and J405 and I'm getting about 0.3mV. I'm not so good at tracing circuits, but I was thinking about reflowing the solder joints for the selector switch, but I am almost at wits end with this issue. I've jiggled every wire I could find and I cannot move the signal meter in FM. Again, it works fine in AM mode. Any thoughts you can give would be so helpful and I would be so appreciative. Please advise.
