Marantz 2230 phono issue

Hi All,

I am new to the forum and will highly appreciate any advices on my problem.

Recently I bought Marantz 2230 for a good price and in very good condition. It was not previously restored and is almost in authentic condition.

The only issue I found is phono stage sound deteriorates in the left channel after some time of listening (approx one hour). The TT itself is working perfectly with another amplifier.

The receiver is appx 45 years old at this point. If it's never been restored (or properly serviced recently) it could likely benefit from a good recapping, cold solder check and deep clean.

Thank you for your advise.
After I bought it, I found a workshop where it was fully serviced and tested. The only issue was minor soldering cracks on the tone board, which were easy fixed.
But to find problem with the phono board turned out to be more difficult. I’ve search the internet and found that all Marantz 22xx use the same phono board (p700) which have number of issues and a lot of guidance how to fix them.
Decided to start with this upgrade https://foreveranalog.net/2020/02/0...and-repair-the-p-700-phono-board-with-photos/

Hope this will help)
