Marantz 2235B All in LED's

I replaced this 2235B with all LED's. It required 7 8VAC LED fuse lamps for the dial scale and meters for backlighting, 6 8VAC bipin LED's for stereo and function indication, and 1 12VAC bipin LED for the dial pointer. The fuse LED's required no soldering but the bipins had to be soldered in. The unit runs brighter, cooler, and it brought new life to the receiver. All the lamps were purchased from at Northridge Electronics's ebay store and it required no modification to the receiver.

quick question.
How do you get the dial pointer apart? i have the same piece and my dial pointer is out. how do i open it up?

The dial pointer is like a clam shell. There's 2 locktabs on both sides of the black plastic assembly that holds the lamp. Carefully pry open the lock tabs and you can separate the 2 black pointer assembly to get into it. then take out the wired lamp and cut the wires and solder the bipin and place it back into the pointer assembly.

Not a huge deal if you break one of the tabs by accident. You can always tape or hot glue the cover back on. :)
