Marantz 2245 / 2270 Tone control Boards

I have a basic confusion on Tone control boards for 2245/2270. I have both of these receivers and also the service manuals. In both I have 2 seperate circuit boards viz. Tone Control unit assembly (P450) and Tone amplifier asssembly (P400). This is also true as per the service manual. P450 board has no trnsistors just few capacitors, resistors and the control. P400 has around 4 transistors/channel.

I also see people selling 2270/2245 tone control boards (see attached picture) that has the controls as well as the 8 transistors on one board.

So my question is whether the attached picture is of tone control board of 2245/2270 and if yes how is this different from the one I have.

The 2245/2270 has a separate preamp board P400, the P450 in the pic is the board for the tone controls themselves. Many Marantz units combine the preamp board as part of the tone control board, on the 2245/2270 they are separate.

Thanks. So basically did Marantz had 2 type of tone controls for 2245/2270 viz. one where they had P400+P450 and other as my pic that was attach earlier i.e. one common board?

Please note that the picture that I sent earlier is not of P450. Attach please find is a pic of P450 from the manual. It doen't have any transistor whereas earlier picture had 8 transistor and control all in one board.

all 2245/2270 have the tone control board in your pic (P450) plus a separate pre amp or "tone board" (P400)

If you are looking at the 2245 SM, it only shows a pic of P400.

Use the 2270 SM as they are basically the same and you can see both.

Thanks. Yes I'm using service manual of 2270 and it has both P400 and P450. But my question is about the attached picture (attached again). This is neither P400 nor P450. What is it ? A guy at eBay is selling this as tone control for 2245/2270.

he must have it listed wrong, that "is not" out of a 2245 or 2270. That is the all in one pre/tone board of like a 2220B or something like that.
