Happy new year AKs!
All the best wishes for 2026!
I decided to revisit an old project - a 2245 which I only have not worked on the power amps.
So I replaced the caps and the dif pair transistors, replaced the mica insulations and added new thermal paste.
Everything was going fine and what I had to do to finalise everything was to do the adjustments. Checked j802 and got 35v, adjusted the dc offset and the bias current (right channel was 7mV).
Then connected the cd player (aux) and the TT (phono) and had sound from aux but no sound from phono. This made me check J706 and there were no 35v
At J802 I have around 4v.
Do you have ideas what might be the cause of this failure?
Thanks in advance!
