Marantz 2245 question..

[Minimatic]

Curious question about an engraved Marantz 2245 serial # 1510 A person is selling this unit.
Question, the current picture of the data tag does Not mention where it was made.Says Marantz at the top...then the model..No spot for Sun Valley Ca...
Did they make them like this? or is this possibly fake? The picture I have isn't very clear .but it appears to not even have space for Sun Valley..

I don't think anyone is out there making fake 2245's.

I did a search and found these. They look like yours. Are you sure you just didn't see at the bottom under the serial number where it says Made in Japan in small letters?

Here you go better picture

I was speaking of the data tag not saying Sun Valley

Looks to be an early model. Maybe they didn't start putting Sun Valley on until the later production models.

82,721 units were produced. Serial numbers started with 1000 so yours was the 501st. one made.

Just curious if anyone else has noticed this on this model or any other's.
