Hello again dear Marantz fans,
Last sunday I "won" on our swiss auction site a 2245, described as "not working, does not power on" for an allright price, not real cheap but about 1/3 to 1/2 of what a working one would have cost me...
It's quite dusty and has a few marks but altogether should come out nice.
First thing of course I did was try it through DBT. hmmmm, definitely not good, bulb stays on at almost full brightness.
After a bit of looking for obvious things, I decided to take out both output transistors of one channel and test them. One seems OK (SJ2513), no short and diode test OK, the other (SJ2514) E to B is a short, hmmmm. So i switch it on without this pair, bulb dims and the relay clicks ! nice ! and the lights come on. so i try FM, headphones on, and I get good sound from both channels.... nice !
Next, I swap the two outputs from the good channel to the bad, again good sound. I try shortly some speakers, good sound, to a level where the channel without the outputs will distort.
So it looks like that my only problem for now is to find a replacement for the outputs, hence my question :
Can somebody tell me if a good modern substitute for the SJ2513 / SJ2514 is available ?
I did find the thread by Patfont where he believes OnSemi MJ21195/MJ21196 should work, but he wasn't certain.
the make was Motorola, there is a code 7426 on them as well.
Thanks in advance !

Oh, and I do plan to give it a full recap, relamp and cleanup, I'll start a thread then, with pictures...
