I just purchased a Marantz 2245 that has the shaft on the volume knob busted off so that it is below the surface of the faceplate. I have an old broken Marantz 4220 that I assumed I could just take the potentiometer from and use it in my 2245.
When I pulled the potentiometer from the 4220, I realized that it is slightly different in its shape to the one in the 2245. Both receivers are supposed to have 250k pots with loudness output-I think I’m phasing that correctly. I’m not sure if the 4220 pot has different connections due to it being in a quad unit. Does anyone know if I can put the pot from the 4220 into the 2245?
