Marantz 2252 speaker reccomndations

Recently bought a nice refurbished 2252, running a 6370Q w/AT 120E with original stylus. I have a set of Boston VRM 50’s which I will try out first, as they are a bit stiff for an old low powered Fisher amp I currently use them with. Considering the New JBL L52’s. Any thoughts in this pairing? Or what fits this receivers power rating? I won’t use 4 speakers simultaneously so the 4ohm doesn’t scare me, but I’m not savvy with stereo ohm preference and power matching in general. Any light you can shine on these topics will help.

Any and all help with speaker choices are welcomed. Planned use is my office, approximately 12x15. preferably wall mounted. I’m guessing with the ports I can get away with this. Otherwise I’d use stands.

Mainly vinyl. Rock, funk and classical for the most part.

Also, how would you recommend I play digital music using the 2252. For example what inout for iPhone or UAD apollo interface. And for iPhone where do I find a cable that turns the mini TRS to L/R input on the reciever? Or, Do I need something more?

One method that I use to connect my phone is using a Bluetooth receiver. Connect to it wirelessly using Bluetooth from your iPhone and it has L/R RCA jacks to connect to the Aux or Tape In inputs of your 2252. There are good ones and cheap ones.
Here is a mid-priced one. If you just want to try it, you can get some as low as $30. Make sure that it has RCA outputs.

Can't speak for digital hookups. If you like JBL, there's a massive slew you can choose from. Pick what works for you, and can satisfy for a good period of time.

Most JBLs with internal crossovers aren't hard, or complicated to drive. Your temptations could be limited to how deep your pockets are?

My cousin Steve runs a Sansui Eight Deluxe with 2 JBL S38 Speakers on nice Stands, A mint Receiver I bought and passed onto him, and he then bought the S38 speakers new, Oak Cabs Nice solid little speaker, won rave reviews, rock solid, built in USA.

JBL speakers remind me of college. I lived in a very musical fraternity house in the 1970s—almost everyone bought a new system for his room immediately upon moving in.
