Marantz 2270 Faceplate Creators?

Anyone know anyone who is making silver or possibly black etched faceplates anymore? I know I can order one from Germany on the bay but I'd rather buy from a member here. Would prefer a silver face too.

I've not heard of any members making face plates. I got the black one from Germany for a 2275:

You can see that it's not brushed aluminum like the stock silver plates, it has an orange-peel texture to it. If that's good enough for you, that's probably as good as it gets as far as brand new.

It may be the best we can get now, but in the recent past, there was an AK member having anodized brushed aluminum plates made with laser etched lettering. I have one for a 2245 and it is spectacular. Unfortunately, I think it got to be too much trouble, and he quit having them made. There are still a few floating around. Here is my 2245.

I just finished making this today for a Sansui G-22000 using Front Panel Express. It was actually not that hard to do. I should get it in 7-10 days.

They have many materials to select from and the lettering can be engraved and filled.

You could also copy the existing panel and make a graphic.
