Marantz 2270 on a 3.5 ohm load

What does anyone think? Safe to run 2 sets of speakers (8 ohm and 4-6 ohm) on a recapped 2270? Results in a 2.6 - 3.4 ohm load.... Would be only at very moderate volume for shortish periods...
Safe or not?

By the way, speakers are Kef 103.2 and B&O Beovox HT5700...

Read this sticky thread about the stress a 4 ohm load puts on your amp. It doesn't exactly apply to your situation,but the principles are the same. Personally, I wouldn't run both sets of speakers at the same time even though a 2270 is designed to feed 4 ohm speakers. These receivers are old. They don't need to be pushed to their limit IMO.

Moderate volume for a short period will present no problems.
