Marantz 2270 questions

Hi, I've had my dad's 2270 for years, and in the past 2-3 years it's become unuseable. After 5-10 minutes of playing, I get intermittent and random crackle and static, and usually pretty loud despite whatever the volume is set on. I'm going to shake myself here, but mostly playing the audio from my TV to it. I have a technics sl-b100 I'll play, and o need to confirm but I'm almost positive the static shows up when playing from this source as well. I've tried changing out my speaker wire, and have ordered a lot of capacitors to recap it. Currently working on a Marantz 2285 i bought before I dig into the one with sentimental value. I just noticed looking today it has a chassis ground. I may be an idiot, but I connected the ground from my record player to it on an assumption. I can't find what I'm supposed to do with the chassis ground.
Any help or advice would be appreciated, if I just need to recap it I'll get to it, but if there's something simple I'm doing wrong that could fix it that would be awesome.

P400 Pre and Tone Amp has four 2SC1000 which are on the noisy list. I'd start with those. P700 Phono Amp also has some transistors that are flagged but you can get to that later.

Also could be cold solder joints. Over time from heating and cooling the solder joints become compromised. Id check all those around transistors and diodes or voltage regulators, the things that tend to get hot.

Thanks, I saw that list and put it on a to do later list...I had no idea how to go about figuring which specific transistors. My order should arrive next week, so I may swap those and see what happens.
