Marantz 2270 Speaker Suggestions

Hi people.I'm new to the forum and I'm from Turkey.I've got a Marantz 2270 amplifier and I've read a couple of threads about vintage speakers that match this amp,but since I live in Turkey,it's hard to find all those options.I listen to vinyls and I have a good collection, mostly 70's psychedelic/progressive rock and stoner rock.I listen to music in a 25 m2 room.I'm looking for vintage speakers that have sharpness in low frequencies and clarity in high frequencies.what i read in this forum and from my researchs,I hardly found a couple of speakers and will write them down for you.If you tried any of these with the 2270,I'd preciate if you share your opinions. Here are the models:
Jbl l15
Pioneer Hpm100,40 and 60
Yamaha ns690(too expensive)
Celestion ditton 110

Thanks.

If your not cranking on it, look into Dynaco 25,

They are nice sounding and compact.
Other than the hpm's you can find Cerwin Vega speakers pretty cheap and they really can take a beating and come out sounding good. I have a set of D-3's that i have been beating the snot out of for the last ten years.

Hi,

I told about my problem,I live in Turkey and it's hard to find all those speakers, this is why i wrote down the models that i could find.

Thank you

The HPM's have a great reputation, although I have not heard them myself.

Good luck!

I'm Sorry, I read that wrong. The hpm100 is solid performer. the bass will thump your chest, but you will find your self turning down the highs. they tend to be a bit bright and in your face.
There are some modifications you can do to help that. The woofers are excellent drivers.
You can Not go wrong with the Hpm100.

Thank you for the advices,if i end up buying it,i'll definitely get in touch with you about that issue.

If you can find a pair of Original Large Advents try those. My 2270 loves them. Upstairs neighbors not so much.
Others I have tried and liked and can be found for very little money. Avid 100's (poor mans Advents).
On the bright side with less bass Klispch KG2's (4 ohm careful could make the 2270 run hot and do not run them with a pair of 8 ohm speakers at the same time )
and DCM CX-17's. Placement is important with the DCM's to get a decent bass.
