I am working on restoring a Marantz 2275. It has several issues that I am working through....
One of the issues was that the bass knob doesn't click between settings, it is continuously smooth. So I took out the tone board and see the back half of the pot sitting there.
Luckily none of the tabs are broken, I have tried to slip the back cover back on, but it requires alot of pressure to make it fit. My next step will be to desolder the pot from the board and try to clamp it closed while bending the tabs to hold it in place. I worry that one of the tabs will break and then I am out of luck. Or that this wont fix the problem. Have any of you seen a pot separate like this? Trying to figure out how this could happen. Manufacturing defect? Turn knob to hard after the stop?
In the event that I can not fix it, I have been searching for a replacement. It is a 200 k ohm pot. It seems that pot is shared between the 2250, 2250B, 2275, and 2325. There are no parts tone boards on the auction site at the moment for the (2250, 2250B, 2275, and 2325). Anyone know if any other unit uses this pot? Or anyone know of a replacement? Or anyway to modify a 100k ohm pot to work since they seem more available?
It is part number RD0204001 - 200k ohm. Most of the other units seem to use a 100k ohm pot.

Edit, added 2250 to list of possible replacements.
