Marantz 2325 Black Faceplates cheap?.......

If it’s laser etched, it’s prbably one of Bob Speece’s faceplates. The only way it could be that cheap is if someone bought it, decided not to use it (or damaged it), and decided to recoup a few bucks on it. I would just make sure it’s not scratched before buying. BTW, Bob’s prices on new ones are very reasonable. I’ve thought about getting one for my 2325, but I just hate to mess with the originality.

I would usually steer clear of any website that has no contact info directly on thier site. I also noticed everything on this site is listed for a similar price. Proceed with caution.

I tried to buy one and my bank rejected the sale.
I take it they didn't steal the pricing.
I have a couple of Bobs faceplates and they are perfect.

That's a scammer site.

They stole my pics and copy from my eBay listings.

Well, color me red faced. I guess the first clue should have been that they had the option to pick more than one. Just.....damn.
BTW, I have one of Bob’s 2245 black faceplates that I’ve had for a couple of years. I’m supposed to get my metal case back from the powder coater early next week. I’m anxious to finally get this blacked out 2245 together.

Well, I recently got a Marantz 2245 that was worked on by R Buckner and came with a black faceplate. Just gorgeous. I have talked with Randy and have made arrangements for him to restore and recap some of my Marantz. Gonna start with a 2270, 2325 and champagne engraved 2230. Plan on getting black faceplates for a 2270 and 2325.

Just a year long waiting list for Randys work :(
I guess it's a good sign of his work and it gives me time to put money in the piggy bank.

I will get the black faceplates first and enjoy for now.

I also saw black button caps for Marantz receivers on an auction site. Anyone have these in use with a black faceplate? Any opinions on how they look? They are anodized black buttons and have a silver ring around the button. I think they would look good with the black faceplate especially on a 2325....I think the silver buttons on the 2325 , although look good my even look better with the black buttons. Any pics would be awesome and appreciated.

Some of Sansui's buttons/switches from this time period were black with the chamfer being chrome. They are a lot harder to find to buy individually though.
