Marantz 2325 Dial Stringing

CDFixer

Number 1 USC Trojan Fan
I just spent an hour and a half trying to restring a 2325.:headscrat When I received it it the dial string was disconnected. I followed all the instructions in the manual but could not get the pointer to line up. If I had it where it would line up on the right side the connector hook would ride up into the guides on the left hand side. I finally realized that the Pointer goes to the left of the hook not to the right as shown in the manual. Every other unit that I have seen has the pointer on the left side of the hook.

I found a 4300 Nudie that has the same dial stringing and indeed the Pointer is on the left side of the connector.

Well at least your the #1 Trojan Fan and not the #1 Trojan User.
So i take it, your good to go. Thanks for the info.

Restring can be so frustrating! Not that I know anthing about that, nor would I have fried the string with a soldering iron...twice. :D

I just did my 2325. Every Marantz in my collection always has loose tuning strings after all these years:yes:. Bending brackets here and there only do so much:nono:. Best to redo it. Funny, the first re string i did was the 2325 and after i was done it tunes backwards:scratch2:. I know next time to loop it around the other way.:thmbsp::D
