Marantz 2325 Transistor Substitutions.

Hello Everyone,
I need some help from all the Marantz guru’s. I have read in another post that the possible cause to an intermittent loud popping in the 2325 power amp might be the H706 - 2SA818 and H707 - 2SC1628 transistors. I see that the recommended replacement transistors are KSA1381for the 2SA818 and KSC3503 for the 2SC1628. I have done a little research and found the KSA1142 and it’s complement KSC2683 with specs which must closer to the originals than the recommended replacements. My question is what do the experts think?
Thank You in advance!

Do you have a source for those? Mouser doesn't list KSC2683. What spec are you seeing that is closer, other than the max voltages? The two recommended subs are more robust for sure, but otherwise, pretty close in spec. From what I'm seeing, either pair should work if you can find them.

Source was Digikey

The correct complement to KSA1142 (Datasheet HERE) is KSC2682. KSC2682 is unavailable from reliable sources. So there you go....Why do you think the recommended substitues are no good?
