Hi tech friends,
I want to share this work I did on this Marantz 2385. It was a long but good work. I am a small company from Brazil and I am especially grateful to Audiokarma for sharing knowledge which made me aware of these and other electronic restoration and repair jobs.
In our country there are many fake or poor quality components. We have part limitations, for example it is virtually impossible to get a softstart resistor like the one recommended by the 25w EchoWards master. For parts cost knowledge, the dollar is worth 4.25x the local currency called real. Everything has to be imported and the high tax rates make the job very difficult. Deoxit for example, needs to be brought by a friend, because the IRS does not allow importing this item by post.
