Marantz 2440: looking for volume pot & tape/mon tape/aux switchboard

Hello all Marantz gurus;I want to do some brain-picking and need advice. My tech is restoring my 2440 Quadradial amp, the volume pot and tape/moni & tape/aux switches (1 board) need to be replaced, they are beyond repair. Can anyone help me where I might find info on these spares? I looked at the usual places but with no luck.... Does anyone know the official partnumbers, I have the technical manual but that does not give me any clue....Any advice would greatly appreciated...thanks.

Well, as I gathered from the service manual i saw that RG0204002 is the volume pot, called Resistor Variable 200 KO BX4 VC, is this correct??/

I doubt if that part number will be of any value other than to compare to other quad models. Those parts are long out of production or availability, and I doubt if there are modern replacements for these X4 pots. Your best bet is a donor board, eBay being a prime source. You might look at other quad models and their parts lists to see if any use the same part. Then you can check for eBay parts on those models.

Why is it beyond repair? Physically broke?

I'd highly recommend that you become a subscriber and post on barter town here on AK. I needed a volume pot recently and barter town didn't disappoint. The seller wasnt even a marantz person, they just so happened to know someone that had spare parts.
