Marantz 30/300 Info?

Howdy peoples.

I just picked up some "new" computer-speakers for me. :)

Flea-market-Marantz's. Good shape for $20. What I'm wondering is what did the original drivers look like? I can't find any info expect an obscure thread from a couple of years ago here. I'd say they are late 70's/early 80's....

The reason I question the orginality (or lackthereof), is all the drivers have the cheesy "chrome" in the middle of the speaker.

Was this truly Marantz, or cheap replacement?

I don't really care; just curious. These are filling the space of the JBL L46's I'm refoaming.

Certainly respectable for my computer-room-needs.

Actually; now that I'm staring at em', listening you know, these look like Thrusters w/the grilles off. Bumpin' Flobots on em', can't quite handle the supposed 120 watts my Toshiba amp's dishin' out. Right wooger is making a strange "buzzin" noise when bass hits. Realize I'm not crankin' it; please.

;)
