Marantz 3300 C309 upgrade and phono adjustment ?

Hi,
I completely restored my Marantz 3300, coupled with 16B, I'm very happy with it :)
I saw in an old post that the "Airtime" member had changed C309 capacitor from 1uf to one of 4.7uf. The sound was much better, more open... Thank you very much for the " Airtime" advice, I would like to do the same but I have a question: should only C309 or C309 and C318 be changed to 4.7UF?
Has anyone ever done it?
Also, I would like to do the phono adjustment. I don't have a frequency generator or an oscilloscope, what can I do? With a multimeter? Could you please advise me...
Thanks in advance
Sorry for my poor English ;)
Best regards

Morgan

Hi,
yes I tried, you have to change C308 and C319 with 4.5 or 4.7uf polypropylene capacitors. In fact, this significantly improves the sound in terms of bass. I also found that my 3300, even with the loudness, lacked bass!
You can make this modification without problem thanks to Airtime for the advice
Kind regards
Morgan
