Marantz 3300 Good Deal?

I have someone interested in trading a 3300 to me. I would give him some gear valued at $350-$400 and he would give me $50 and the Marantz. So I guess I'm putting out $300 to $350 for the preamp. My only source of valuation is ebay sales and there aren't too many of them.

Here are some pictures. The cosmetic condition looks pretty good. Normal wear on the edges and a few small marks (above the hi-filter and on the right channel treble slider. It does not have a wood cabinet. I am assuming everything functions correctly, but I will have to audition it.

Do these have any known reliability issues or maintainence that would be required?

That's top dollar for a 3300 for sure. I had one and it's an ok pre but certainly nothing special. I would wait and go higher up the food chain in the marantz line or hold out for a much better deal. That being said they are getting up there age wise so be prepared for some problems if it hasn't been gone through.
