I am working on a nice Marantz 3300 . I have it all done . I just came across an original service bulletin M-3300-1 .for serial number 2540 and up . Mine is 2839 so this applies to my unit. The service Bulletin reads ,
"Two design changes have been made to the Model 3300 serial numbers 2540 and up, on the Tone Amplifier circuit. One is the deletion of resistors R307 and R 322 valued 1 megohm. The other is the changing of the capacitors C305 and C315 valued 82pF. 10%, 100v (Part No385-1065-000) to 27pF. 10% 100v (Part No 385-1036-000 . Incorporate these changes into the service manual as soon as possible, to ensure proper reference information ."
My question is this . Should I mess with these easy changes .
Has anyone done or even heard of this ?
Must be a tone enhancement for the better I'm guessing.
