Marantz 4230 Dis-Assembly questions

Hey All, Have a 4230 I am trying to fix up and while waiting for parts I have discovered the tape monitor/source button does not engage both channels (no right), but it seems only when the selector is on 'dolby fm'. If I select FM, both channels fine. I can slowly release the tape monitor button and get sound in the right channel just before the button is fully released. I have tried to get De-oxit into the switch, but they are sideways and buried. First, does it sound like the switch, since I get both channels on everything else? And, should I need to remove the switch, it looks like removing the front frame is the only way. This involves un-fastening all the controls, but I don't see access from the back.

Remove the faceplate to gain access to the pushbutton switch retainer.
There is an excellent sticky at the beginning of this Marantz forum on how to do it.

No, not the faceplate, I am talking about the frame that holds everything behind the faceplate. I want to get the switch retainer bracket out and accessible and it is directly above the front left foot. I do not think there is enough room to go backwards with it, so I was wondering if pulling the front frame (not faceplate, that is already off) loose would be the best way to go.

Those are the tape switches on the lower left, right? Just pull that screw above them (maybe the one next to it to) and the whole assembly should pull back. At least that's the way it looks from the underside pic.
