Marantz 4415 question

I just won what looks like a mint Marantz 4415 Quadradial receiver on the bay and I've got a question about its function.

When I run it in 2 channel mode, does it tie the amplifiers together for more power or do the rear amps shut off?

Also, does any body have one of these and if you do, do you like it? The anticipation is killing me.

I do not know for sure, however, I believe that the Marantz 4415 receiver does not offer higher power in the two-channel mode. Later receivers, including some made by Marantz, did offer that kind of a feature. In any case you have a very nice Marantz receiver and the ability to play back some quadraphonic or four-channel multi-channel source material. Good listening!
