marantz 5220 slow playback after belt replacement

Hello AK'ers,

I need help! I replaced the belts in my 5220 but now I'm getting slow playback and sometimes none at all... I noticed that if I partially hold down the play/ff/rw buttons instead of clicking them in to locked position they seem to operate at normal functioning speed, so I don't think it is the motor... any advice out there?

well i got it figured out i guess, pot for speed adjustment seems to be on motor itself despite what the manual says. Also think I had the belt to high on its capstan... three different tracks on the motor one, moved to to track closest to motor, got the stop belt on top (farthest from motor)
