Marantz 6100 ... anti-skate weight?

I picked up a 6100 TT recently and the anti-skate weight is missing. I'll have to make one up.
Does anyone know how to string the weight?
I got a copy of the manual but, it does not have a good picture, or describe well, how to string the weight.

Here is a picture of the anti-skate area taken soon after the turntable was purchased.

The calibration of the anti-skate setting is questionable! :D

Thanks for the pic. It looks like the wire with the weight passes through the loop in the metal arm, from below, and then just rests against the rod with the rings cut in it. Is this correct or does the wire loop around that guide rod?

I picked up a Marantz 6100 at a yard sale this past summer. Unfortunately it turned out to be junk and I gave the base and platter to my son inlaw to build a homebrew record cleaning machine out of. However, I kept the tonearm, antiskate weight set-up, and the 45 adaptor from it. I would be happy to mail the weight to you. Send me a PM and I will try to find where I put them.

The weight still has the original wire attached to it.

Feed the line back to front through the hole in the wire arm. Place the loop at the end of the line around the rod with the graduation rings on it. The weight will now hang freely from the arm.

The idea is that the arm must raise the weight as it moves toward the end of the record. The resistance of the weight is what creates the anti-skating force. The farther out on the rod the loop is the more the weight must be raised during playback so the greater the anti-skating effect. Each of the rings on the anti skate rod represents 1/2 gram of anti-skate force beginning at 1.5 grams.

Of course, this is all controlled by the weight. How much it weighs determines how much anti-skating force it can generate. Since you don't have yours you'll need to get or make one of the appropriate weight.

The 6100 was my first TT - not a bad start. There's a discussion about a replacement ant-skate weight here. Apparently, it's 0.8 g. Also looks like if you register there, you can download the manual.

I am willing to send him the exact weight nd wire assembly, complete with the tonearm if he wants.
The OP does not need to figure out anything, as I have the entire assembly.

I'm going to amend my earlier post and go along with Earl on this. That really amounts to a serious score for the OP. The weight is one thing but that 45 adapter is what you use to set the stylus overhang. They're more or less unobtainium.

Now tell me it comes with the original headshell too! ;)

Unfortunately the headshell was missing.
That's why I only paid $ 3.00 for the TT at the yard sale.
I'm a Thorens fan, but I figured that I could do something with the parts of this beast. The motor and gears were toast.
I'm happy to be able to pass along the Karma as this forum has helped me immensely.

The parts showed up today thanks to Al's generosity. Thanks again Al. I've made a donation to AK to help out.

I actually only needed the anti-skate weight so ... I'll pay it forward and follow Al's lead. I'll keep the A-S weight and can give the rest to anyone else who can use it.
This includes the tonearm assembly, with it's counterweight, and also the original Marantz 45 adapter! Only ask that you, too, donate $10 to AK. I'll pay shipping in CONUS.

I picked up a 6100 today along with a pair of KLH 355 barons all for 50 bux. It works fine but the platter never stops, i havent looked into it, but it plays. I need the stuff for a 45 and a manual i guess. Its in perfect cosmetic shape except the tonearm has a pioneer head on it.

how do I go about working on this thing? Who has the 45 adapter, and why wouldnt any old round ring work?
