Marantz 6100 or Pioneer PL-15D II for $100?

Considering buying one of these for $100, to pair with a Marantz 2220. Not concerned with getting a Marantz to match the 2220, just want the best quality. Based on what I've gleaned in various threads here and elsewhere, I'm probably leaning towards the Pioneer, but figured I would solicit some input.

Which would you prefer between the two?

Assuming both are fully functioning and in good aesthetic condition, is $100 a decent price?

Technically about even, better resale value - Marantz 6100.

Even. Our local record store used a Marantz daily for over a year. Worked well. A little prettier than the Pioneer. I like both though.

For me it would depend on the cartridges on each table. But as said, they are about equal in performance.

Yeah a Marantz 6100 in good shape for a 100 bucks is a steal definitely get some resell value out of it. Personally I enjoy the one I have it's a nice table and looks good.

Thanks everybody for the feedback. Unfortunately someone else picked up the Marantz before I could. Still waiting to hear back in the Pioneer.
