Marantz 6300 Arm Lift

Anyone ever needed to redo the padding on the top of their arm lift for the Marantz 6300 ?

Mine is worn in a couple of places on the foam atop of lift arm. Right now in order to keep the tone arm stable at the very end of the lift arm a small felt pad was placed under the tone arm .

When placing the tone arm over the lp edge it would ever so slowly want ot go back to the arm rest . Tried to adjust the angle but the foam is gone at the edge .

Can you shoot a photo of it?

I imagine either a strip of rubber, like a section of bicycle innertube, or some felt purchased at a fabric store, and a bit of silicone rubber glue would work cherry.

Replaced the old arm with a new one, much thanks again to cla6665 for all the help ..

Any small piece of adhesive rubber lining will work nicely here if in the future you have this problem again. I have found that these parts require small area of contact with other surfaces so the less material and buildup the better.

That was orignal plan , use some contact cement and closed cell foam cut to fit .

Now that I have the old one to mess with might try it out and see what it takes .
