Marantz 6300 Auto Shut Off Fix

Anyone have a fix for a malfunctioning auto shut off feature on a Marantz 6300? The table works in all other respects but does not shut off when the arm reaches the end of the record and the Automatic button is engaged. I pulled off the bottom cover and the LED switch that controls this feature is working. Adjusted the screw on the back and the piece on the bottom of the arm reaches the led and blocks the light but the auto off and return feature doesn't engage.

A quick inspection suggests all the switches, buttons, levers are working fine and no evidence the unit has ever been worked on or abused. Thanks

I have a 6300 that works in all regards, therefore I can't assume what could be the reason for your malfunction. I have always used Deoxit spray as a preventative measure with good success. Perhaps spraying and lubricating the area will help?

Problem solved. Did a search on this site and my problem has been discussed previously. Looks like the LED wasn't illuminating enought to be received by the phototransistor. I replaced the LED with a new one and problem solved.

I just picked up a 6300 yesterday and seems like the same issue. Where can I get the LED from please?

Not sure where I purchased as I pulled it from a bunch I had in the parts cabinet. In the Toronto area Sayal sells LED's and should have what you need depending on where you live. If I remember correctly it was a flat shaped one.
