Marantz 6300 Skiping...any suggestions?

So I just picked up a Marantz 6300 from a guy I have been working with (met him through CL but this deal was not a full blow CL deal as we were already in contact with each other) at either rate. I picked up a decent Marantz 6300 turn table. However there is a slight problem:

The needle skips when playing on any vinyl...clean, fresh...it does not matter. (at first I thought it was because I had a dirty vinyl disk...but when I put on my fresh not a scratch on it copy of Dark Side of the Moon I experienced the same problem....the needle just skips backward.) Does anyone know what I can do?

try either adjusting your bias or perhaps loosening off the mounting screws for the tonearm a turn or two....

also tracking weight may be too light/heavy

I 've had a similar problem with one of my 6300, antiskating, bias were ok.
The issue was the arm mechanism.

I can't remember exactly what I have done, but I cleaned the arm bearing, and I tried to re-oiled it.

After there were no more skiping in 95% of the vynil I played.

same issue skipping backwards

i have them same issue with my recent goodwill 6300, there actually appears to be more than normal resistance to lateral left movement of the arm when i attempt to move it while in the 'up' position

have tried adjusting everything possible multiple times, am now going to try prior suggestion to dismantle tonearm support mount /clean/oil will post results...

Another possibility is the spring used for antiskating. It may be binding or stretched at that one point.
