Hoping to pick up one of these tables soon and need some advice. Searched the Turntable forum here and found a few possibilities, but what cartridges are considered best for this tonearm in the $100=$200 range? Also, I don't really know how to pick carts to match this arm. Is this considered a high-mass arm and, if so, should I consider a cart with low-compliance or high-compliance design? I'm really dumb when it comes to this aspect of t'tables so thanks in advance for suggestions.

The tone arm may be consider by some user as on the middle spectrum of medium.

Most present day mm mid compliance cartridge are suitable.

God match for the price range may be the recently discontinued Audio Technica AT 440 MLb or the Audio Technica VM 540 ML.

I think the tonearm on this this is a Jelco SA370 but I'm not sure. Another wrinkle to this weird model is seen in these photos. One of them has a strobe illuminator on the left front of the plinth. However, the one I'm looking at is like the bottom photo shown without the strobe. Did they offer it in two configurations?

Edit: added the link I forgot to add.....sure looks like a Jelco-inspired tonearm.

The Marantz 6370Q is an auto return quartz Lock turn table.

It is very unlikely that it would be equipped with a Jelco SA 370 tone arm form the factory.

No idea which turn table you are picking up. :dunno:

Best of luck with your purchase.
